IN FEBRUARY OF 1978 COLUMBUS, OHIO WAS HIT WITH ONE OF THE WORST SNOW STORMS OF THE LAST CENTURY.
Because of the severe storm, the schools were closed and transportation came to a halt throughout central Ohio. The first day of the snow storm no children showed up at the QUBE studios for Flippo's Magic Circus, just the staff of the show, who punted and produced a show without contestants. The next day, again no kids, but more QUBE staff showed up and they all pitched in as replacement contestants for the Red and the Gold Teams. INTRODUCING THE QUBE STAFF CONTEST.
